I came upon this grisly revelation preparing for Mindfest. I noticed that the
logo was part of a 24T gear, and if you take a pie section at the right spot
it looks like two kids holding hands. OK, maybe they can be adults too.
Anyways, I ran upstairs to show this to my kids and pulled a gear out of my
Mindtorms tackle box and found to my dismay, that the new gears had no extra
holes like in the logo!!! Horrors!
Thinking about it now, I started into heavy acquisition mode about 2 years
ago, and the sets I picked were mainly pre 97. Maybe because the newer sets
just didn't appeal to me. :-(
Maybe it's time to re-issue some Technic Classic, like the Basic sets in the
System line. I can see it now - Crane Truck Classic with realistic wheels...
