That's not what I mean. Slizer and Throwbots mean the same thing, the latter
is the American name and the former is what is used in the rest of the world.
What one word or short phrase can we use instead of "Throwbots/Slizers and
Roboriders and Bionicle"?

WHAT?!? No way. No freakin' way. Shoot. I gotta get a second opinion on
this.
<Goes to shop.lego.com. Logs into the UK catalog. Looks in technic menu.
Hey! Bionicle and Classic Star Wars are there now. Shop at home is selling
the Bionicle sets that aren't out until August? Goes to Roboriders. Yep.
Boss is there. He seems to be right so far. Switches to the Germany catalog.
Boss is there too. Drat, it is a Europe only set. Switches to USA catalog
just to be sure. Hold on, it's exactly the same. Bionicle, Star Wars, and
there's Boss for $19.99. Looks like I can get it from SAH if nowhere else.>
I guess you're wrong. Maybe Europe just gets it before we do.
<As an afterthought, pulls up the Bionicle listing. 12 sets, 6 of the big ones
and 6 of the mini ones. No extra masks listed. 11 of them marked "not
available", one marked "out of stock, will ship by 01 Aug 2001". I guess that
settles that. More of that teasing then. At least we have names for the mini
ones now.>

| What I meant by "the other things" was roboriders and bionicle, which were obviously inspired by the success of throwbots. I live in the US, so the use of the word slizer confused me as well at first, but I think most everyone knows what it is now. (...) (24 years ago, 23-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

| (...) And it's now a moot point, because I just bought one at the Toys R Us today. I didn't even think I'd find any until next month at least. Here's the interesting thing. The picture we've all seen with the motorbike and that glider that detatches (...) (24 years ago, 24-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)
