  Re: I am appalled...

(...) I am 19 and I have all of the throwbots except blaster flare and spark and also the fire roborider. The missing throwbots and roboriders including the boss are all on my xmas list. (25 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: I am appalled...

(...) I'm pretty much a functionality nut...some of my favorite sets were 8868, 8460 and 8480 and 8862, which all had many interesting and complex functions. The intricate gear and pneumatic networks are lots of fun to build and even more (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: new Technic product shown!

(...) You are completely right about the Prop Plane <set:8855>. Not only is it the the best Technic plane but it may be the best Technic set period. It is only 1 of 2 sets in my opinion that are perfect in both form and function. The prop assembly (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: I am appalled...

Roboriders could be saved for us big kids (I just turned 16, twenty years ago) with a few minor changes. 1. Split the ball joint cross axle off of the leg assembly. I can do this myself, but I hate to take a razor saw to Lego parts. The detatched (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: new Technic product shown!

(...) 8425 and 8836? Nah - the best Technic plane is <set:8855> IMO I'll bet you a Technic piece of your choice that you won't be able to order the parts for THAT one. That prop attached to a gear piece has to be one of the most rare pieces going. (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: I am appalled...

(...) You're not too old at all. I'm 16, I have 5 throwbots (1 of them blaster), 2 robo-riders, and I plan on getting 3-4 Bionicle. I may like these partially because other than some GI-Joes I never HAD action figures, and these combine those with (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: I am appalled...

(...) I'll be 14 in a month and I still can't get enough of them. What do you build with Technic? (25 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: I am appalled...

(...) That's another reason why they're cool. I used to play with action figures and wonder how they worked. Like, I had this dinosaur that lowered his head and opened his mouth when his knees were pushed together. Now with Throwbots and RoboRiders (...)   Re: I am appalled...

Somehow neither of these series appeal to me...maybe I'm just a bit too old (14). Although you're probably right about the fact that these are probably designed for younger builders, since my brother (who is 8) really enjoys the Throwbots. (25 years ago, 9-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: I am appalled...

(...) I would have thought so - remember that action figures are always very popular with kids, and I assume that ranges such as the Roborider are an attempt to capture a share of this market. Jennifer Clark (25 years ago, 8-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

I have a Grandnephew that just loves Roborider. Maybe they were made for kids. -- Bob Fay rfay@we.mediaone.net The Shop (URL) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: I am appalled...

(...) great (...) don't (...) I love those sets! Here's why- 1. They do stuff. A few gears and a launcher is more function than the (former)LEGO SYSTEM sets have. 2. It's easy and fun to combine sets, with endless possibilities. 3. They look cool. (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  I am appalled...

...at the reactions I've seen to the slizers and the "follow-up" products of the robo-riders and the coming Bionicle. I've read almost nothing positive about these things. While they aren't really the greatest thing for heavy builders or people (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)

  aslo: new Technic product shown!

Hi! I wonder why so far nobody has mentioned the new LEGO Technic product that is shown in one of the large pictures of the photo gallery. Looks like we will get more Cyberslam-like stuff later this year. I copied the relevant images into the (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic, lugnet.year.2001)

  Source of technic manuals?

Hello World, I'm sorry to be a pain, this is probably a question that gets asked quite a few times, but... Is there a site on the Internet somewhere that has the building instructions that comes with lego sets in, for example, PDF format? My son has (...) (25 years ago, 6-Dec-00, to lugnet.technic)
