  Re: 8880 Super Car information

(...) If you want a Supercar with a lot of functions, this is the one. 4-wheel steering, 4-wheel drive, transmission (4 speed - no reverse), independent suspension on all 4 wheel, toggle headlight, 8 pistons engine. The only problem of this set is: (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  8880 Super Car information

I recently found out a bit more about this set and am thinking of trying to get it. Just wanted some public opinion on it...is it a good overall model? What functions does it contain? And is it worth the $150-$200 USD that it usually sells for on (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Znap information

This is probably a really stupid question, but what exactly is "Znap"? I've heard it referred to several times on this newsgroup but haven't seen it in Lego Catalogs or anything of the sort... (25 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic Pendulum Clock progress

John, I have seen these two other clocks, and a few electric Lego clock designs. I went back to these pages, and I found out that they do have enough information to calculate efficiency. I built an approximate copy of the Zef Damen clock's weight, (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Adjustable 4 wheel steering

(...) Nice one! How did you get the idea for this? It really is quite cunning - I am looking forward to seeing this applied in a model. Would I be right in saying that you could extend this to 8 wheel (or more) steering with the crab mode having all (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Steerable Drive Axle

(...) I tried something a bit unusual to this end with a some znap axles John Barnes sent me. It actually worked quite well, although the drive train took a wee bit of torque to turn - the new gear motors managed it with no difficulty at a gear (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Steerable Drive Axle

I have seen the 8880, though my goal is to eventually put the axle underneath the front of my 5571 truck. The width of the 8880 is four nobs wider than my best iteration. (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8458 Silver Champ

(...) I got mine from Etoys last week, with a 20% off coupon. Even after shipping it wasn't much over $140. I'm in the building process now, I quit at step 39 to eat and check messages :) I'll post later on what I think of the completed set. Thomas (25 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Steerable Drive Axle

(...) wrong!) Ok, you're wrong :-) It is only rear wheel drive. Martin (25 years ago, 26-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)
