  Re: Perpetual Duplo Motion

Tony, This is pretty ingenious! I really like how the train moving the lever makes the button on the battery box get pressed. :-) A neat mechanical solution. -Andy Lynch In lugnet.trains, Tony Hafner writes: <snip> (...)   Re: Another Technic Creation

Hey you guys, don't be so cruel about one of my favorite sets, that cute yellow forklift. Okay, it tipped over easily, but with some weight in the back it wasn't that bad. The handles didn't work. So? I've seen tech models with a dummy steering (...) (25 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Electric leads

Nope. The really long ones are Mindstorms. They come in handy for remote control. The shortest one (15) and the long middle (70) are from the space shuttle. The 20.5 come in ZNAP and Mindstorms. I don't know about the shorties being in the expansion (...) (25 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

(...) I thought it looked great, but tended to tip over when you tried to lift something in the forks. The levers at the side of the seat which didn't actually do anything were a bit on the cheesy side too. I also liked the alternate models - if I (...) (25 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Electric leads

I believe the 2 middle lengths are from Minstorms RIS. The longer ones are used in the 8480 Space Shuttle and the very short ones came in the Minstorms expansions (ie: Robo Sports and Extreme Creatures) as well as the smaller Z-nap sets.   Perpetual Duplo Motion

Heh- sorry about the wide distribution, but this fits into a lot of categories. I have a new creation up on my site, a device for defeating the timer on the Duplo battery trains. This uses Duplo Trains, Technic, and a critical Znap part. I call it (...)   Re: Pneumatic T-cross math-rule

Basically, the number of T-pieces is one less than the number of cilinders. So with the same X and Y: X = Y - 1. That is, for the old ones that had only one tube going to them. For the new cilinders obviously you need twice as many: X = 2 x (Y - 1), (...) (25 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic)
