Hey you guys,
don't be so cruel about one of my favorite sets, that cute yellow forklift.
Okay, it tipped over easily, but with some weight in the back it wasn't that
bad. The handles didn't work. So? I've seen tech models with a dummy
steering wheel...
Maybe I'm just a bit sentimental as it was my first technic model....
For a reminder of the alternative models see

I still have to scan that last page... and then do the helicopter. These
were the instructions of the very first series. No piece count for every
step, no book, but a big sheet. Pity I only have them for 850/852...

The forklift
was kinda crude and not too playable, but it did have some interesting
alternate models.

I thought it looked great, but tended to tip over when you tried to lift
something in the forks. The levers at the side of the seat which didn't
actually do anything were a bit on the cheesy side too. I also liked the
alternate models - if I remember correctly, there was a hoist of some • kind,
and a grader I think. I remember the grader well, because at the time I
didn't have a clue what it was but thought it looked pretty cool :-)
