Re: What is with the Technic Stormtrooper?

(...) The only thing I like about C-3PO is they got his legs right. He has a silver leg! Eric Kingsley (25 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

Re: What is with the Technic Stormtrooper?

(...) I don't get it either. It definitely is ugly, and I agree, I wouldn't have been able to guess what it was if a third-grader showed me and made me guess. I guess I don't understand any of these technic maxi-figures. I bought a Battle Droid to (...) (25 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

Re: Feedback on the Airtech Claw Rig (8868)

Heheh...sorry, just had to get that in there :-) The free sets I got, with the exception of one, were all very small anyway (the $5-$15 USD ones). (25 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: What is with the Technic Stormtrooper?

(...) Boy oh boy, you called that right, and C3PO's not much better. I'm surprised they made it past the QC department. I think a cooler set would have been a full-scale bust or helmet offered as a special model, like The Statue of Liberty or the (...) (25 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

What is with the Technic Stormtrooper?

This has to be one of the ugliest things I have seen! If they didn't tell me what it was I would have never guessed it was a Stormtrooper. (URL) really, really, really hope LEGO didn't think that a Stormtrooper was a Robot. :-(. I now know at least (...) (25 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.technic)

  best source of yellow?

What is the best currently available set to contain yellow parts? In particular I an interested in: flexable axles non flexable axles decorative panels angle connectors angle beams and etc basicly the parts that come in red in 8448 I want to know (...) (25 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

what is the rarest technic set & part?

Can anyone tell me what the rarest technic (not expert builder) set & part would be? I would imagine that one of the rarest parts would be something like the 2 8880 transmission pieces or that fancy propellor from the yellow airplane. (25 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Feedback on the Airtech Claw Rig (8868)

(...) I think that wouldn't reach the metal part of the pistons. IMHO washing should be ok if one dries it quickly enough, but it could be hard to get the water out of the last cranny. (...) Of course, if anything goes wrong I'll blame myself. (...) (25 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Feedback on the Airtech Claw Rig (8868)

(...) All right, all right, ALL RIGHT! No need to rub it in. :) - Sean (25 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Feedback on the Airtech Claw Rig (8868)

(...) Yep, I'm pretty sick over that one. I found one for US$250, but it's from Europe, so shipping will be long and expensive... - Sean (25 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Feedback on the Airtech Claw Rig (8868)

(...) Wow...that's pretty awesome. I had a similar thing happen to me an year ago when my cousin lost his interest in Lego and gave me a bunch of his things. It's especially great to get a relatively expensive and/or discontinued one in this way. (25 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Feedback on the Airtech Claw Rig (8868)

(...) Oh, this'll make you sick. I got mine free when a friend of my brother decided he didn't want his lego anymore. All present and correct except for one tire (hub included) but i have plenty of spares... (25 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Feedback on the Airtech Claw Rig (8868)

(...) The new style with metal coating on the piston might rust, but otherwise I don't think there should be a problem. They should have designed the pieces to allow children/adults to blow through the systems with a lot of salive as result. But (...) (25 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8457 Power Puller question

(URL) has most of what the telephone Shop @ Home has. I don't know what the phone number is for your country, but it shouldn't be too hard to scrounge up here. - Sean (25 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8457 Power Puller question

(...) Oh okay, thanks; I guess it would appeal to my little brother then... :-) (...) I don't think that the Power Puller is that great of a model either. A few more functions would have been nice. The main reason I'm thinking of going for it is (...) (25 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Feedback on the Airtech Claw Rig (8868)

(...) How about pneumatic pieces? Jürgen (25 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8457 Power Puller question

(...) I was a bit tempted by the chains, as it seem to be the only set with technic chains these days, isn't it? Jürgen (25 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Feedback on the Airtech Claw Rig (8868)

(...) I, despite the fact that I have the more gentle European machine, prefer the sink and dishwash detergent. I wash my bricks by hand. Gentle and nice. Around 40 degree celcius warm water. I then move the pieces around a tad with my hands and (...) (25 years ago, 23-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)
