Hey Brad,
I don't know this for sure, but I am willing to bet that the micro motor
will always be available, just not at certain times. LEGO will tell you
they are not available because they are not in production, or are out of
stock. They will make more eventually because they have a proven design.
If you are willing to wait for a bit, you will be able to buy your motor.
If the current trend persists, you will be able to buy that motor for $29.99
packaged with a whole bunch of Technic parts that you don't want or need!
What a bargain!
