Acording to technica the large plates come in red, green, yellow, black and silver (soon to be released) These colors are also available for the small plates. You therefore could make a black 8448, a silver (when the bits come out) 8448, a yellow (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jul-00, to lugnet.technic)

The only sets which have the large plates are 8448 (red), 9748 (white) and 8450 (black) The white plates are not available in the smaller variation. (...) Hi, From looking at the pics of the new technic formula car and the accessory set , It looks to me that the silver styling pack aren't crome but the same silver as the new technic wheels.
