Re: while we're on the subject of guns ...

(...) Service catalogues (for Australia at least) refer to these as (cyberslam) cannons or launchers. HTH James (who's afraid Richard will field these next brickwars) (25 years ago, 9-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Parts better or worse in older sets

(...) I also have an 855 Crane set, as well the 853 Car Chassis - in both sets I experienced problems with the 1x16 bricks breaking in two (I would crazy glue them together, but it's just not the same - sometimes they would break again). Also, some (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: lego 'gun'

(...) Mike, Just recently the topic of rubber band gun out of LEGO came up here at the office and I was thinking of making one this weekend. Your idea sounds good and simple, but I'm having trouble picturing the design. Could you supply a pic or (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: lego 'gun'

(...) I experimented with this a while ago. I managed to fire a 10 stud axle about 5 meters using an elastic band setup with a beam stricking the axle. However, this didn't give a very gun-like contraption, and I never quite perfected a trigger (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  lego 'gun'

My latest avenue of lego research is lego firing. I am trying to make a contraption using only lego peices that will fire a small projectile (eg a black friction peg) as far as possible. At first I tried to use springs, but the results were very (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8428 Turbo Command CD-ROM

It uses 3 of the "small" shock absorbers -- see: (URL) rear wheel uses one of the "81" shocks. They don't work independently. The third shock is the "97" version. It doesn't provide suspension in the main model, but it works as a spring in the (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

Hi Can anyone here telle me how much power a stalled Technics motor (the new geared ones) draws? I'm trying to figure out how cheap I can make a bunch of H-bridges for those motors. (I need a bunch of'em :)) Regards/Mvh. John Jensen (25 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

Does anyone know what a good price for this set is in the UK at the moment? I have seen all the reviews and really want to get it, but I want to make sure I get it for a good price. Thanks. Mike (25 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)
