I’m stating the obvious but it’ll be great for crane and stuff.

They seem like they’d be great for a lot of “stuff”. The edges of the tread itself are just a bit thinner than a tile, so they should slide in the groove of the ‘1x4 brick with groove’ piece.

The sprockets that drive the chain have good grip, so we should be able to put some real torque into the chain.

I could see a moving sidewalk, or an escalator, or a ball machine lift mechanism, or any number of cool uses!

And a standard Technic gear will engage the grooves on the top of the tread links, although they’re not deep enough to really drive the gear.

I think the piece has some real potential. Time to go buy more snowmobiles!
