and press the red button, the motor spins.

if you continue to apply pressure to that switch, the motor stops.


I've seen this now on 2 of my battery boxes.  Anyone else have this
problem, and know why?

I have taken apart one box, and I just cant see why this effect occurs.
  All that happens is that the button presss a bit of sprung steel into
a common bar. I dont understand why additional pressure stops it.

Hi Chris,

  If you just leave the motor on without pressing the red button does it also
stop?

  The battery boxes have a built in current limiter that will stop current flow
if you are drawing too much power.  Could that be the problem?

(...) no, this problem is more sinister, in my experiments, I only had one unloaded motor directly connected to the battery box. I do not feel using this simple set up, i overloaded the limiter. And to answer your first question YES, under normal (...) (19 years ago, 6-Oct-05, to lugnet.technic)
