One other question regarding this set. Why the new type of motor? It is bigger than it needs to be, not any better as far as I can tell than the standard type (just as noisy anyway), and no doubt added to the cost of the set. It has two places that (...) Just completed 8421 myself. Impressions: -certainly the longest technic build I've ever had. -an excellent parts pack -looks very impressive when complete -functionality: vaguely disappointing. Last night I had a new-style 9V motor attached directly to a 40-tooth gear that was turning an 8-tooth gear. There was a fair amount of torque involved, and my motor stalled after a while. Up here in Canada, they're all cheap! The crane which costs $200 ist 3/4 the price. The bike ($70) is about $50, and the forklift ($100) is about $70. Is this a summer sale or something for the S@H? (19 years ago, 29-Jun-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.market.shopping)
