  Re:Ferrari

Thanks for the info John. I think "crowkillers" dislikes the model because it does not appear to have shocks and the wheels don't appear to be the large size typically used for technic supercars. However, I like it. It looks great- especially the (...) (20 years ago, 1-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(...) Paul (Crowkillers) and I totally agree on this model, it's garbage in it's purest form, it doesn't even look like an Enzo. It indeed doesn't seem to have a suspension, thus it isn't a decent supercar, and I bet it hasn't even got a gearbox. (...) (20 years ago, 14-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(...) Question- I thought that neither the Silver Champion nor the Williams F-1 racer have a transmission (which are both bigger than lego supercars) and the other technic Ferrari racer does not have a suspension or a transmission. Why is the new (...) (20 years ago, 14-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(...) Hehehe, well, the silver champ has a magnificent suspension, don't forget that, and on top of that, it looks good. Now a formula one racing car with a gearbox would be a little hard to do for TLC, thus I can accept that it doesn't have one. (...) (20 years ago, 14-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(...) Sure, but the second I can get my hands on one, I'm RC'ing it (just like the 8448) so Marie might 'upgrade' to a new set of wheels-- (URL) down a bit) So I'm looking forward to the Ferrari, suspension or transmission missing or not. And with (...) (20 years ago, 14-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(...) I believe you three could build a better one. You guys are talented. I'm not into sports cars unless you consider an old Ford Thunderbird a sportscar. (URL) I think the old 'birds (1955-1966)look better than any other car, but heavy equipment (...) (20 years ago, 14-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(...) The joke was terrible. If you were in sydney you would have been hit. However i believe this set is a worse joke. I have my reservations about the enzo, i agree it doesn't look like an enzo. In fact, i think this is not a LEGO set. there is no (...) (20 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(...) I have his email and could ask him if it is a hoax if you wish. Why is it not on the lego website? I have no idea where he found the picture. Does anyone else? (20 years ago, 15-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(...) Google finds references of set 8653 as a 2005 unreleased set at: (3 URLs) along with set 8652, Enzo Ferrari 1:17 -Rob. (20 years ago, 16-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Now this is a bad joke... or are you going to tell me that you were not kidding? (20 years ago, 16-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: F1 with transmission (was: Ferrari)

(...) Hehhe, I noticed your clever solution some time ago, but I sad it would be a little hard for TLC :) This also due to the fact that they want a clean solution... (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(URL) (...) All kidding and joking and supposed hoaxes aside, here's a better pic (not mine though)..... (URL) I think this is going to be a nice new supercar... I will likely be ordering this set ASAP. But then again I'm biased towards all LEGO (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(...) Contrary to what some people think I think this model looks good, although I have no idea if it looks like an Enzo or not. For me the decision whether to buy it or not will depend only on the functions it has. It looks too much like <set:8448> (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

(...) I think the main thing some people will want is those wheels (or hubcaps). Wheels aren't really a LEGO strong point. ROSCO (19 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Ferrari

Granted I agree that a Lego Technic race car would be difficult to build with a transmission, but let's not forget the supercar 8880. It had instructions for a pretty neat race car (which had, I might add, a two speed tranny). So I think lego would (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I was more like talking about a formula one car, ofcourse all racing cars should have a gearbox. 6 speed + reverse if possible... (19 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic)
