Re: Advice from crane builders (was: Blimey) —Ross Crawford
(...) OK, I wanna ask some advice on this one from the big crane builders (yeah that's you!!) I was aiming to be able to lift the a-frame mechanically, but so far have found no solution. It didn't work very well. His crane is on scale (...) (21 years ago, 2-May-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: Advice from crane builders (was: Blimey) —Ross Crawford
(...) Hmmmm. I just looked closely at that pic, and can see the a-frame line is reversed once (goes across to opposite side of pulley). I've noticed some cranes do this, and some don't - some do it more than once - none of the DEMAG ones I've seen (...) (21 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)
