This is a very interesting project. I’d like to see the slew ring for a crane in this scale, assuming that it’s a working model and not just a static piece.

Looking at the design of the crawler so far and knowing a bit about large Lego cranes it raises a few questions.

As their is no sprocket will their be enough weight on the driven tyre to move the vehicle or will it just spin?

I also wonder if the track will break? I doubt it as their are three hinges, but it’ll definately never be able to turn on carpet, but I don’t suppose Ross intends to do that.

I also wonder if the track will stay on, as their seems to be nothing holding it in place laterally. These parts probably haven’t been added yet.
