It reminds me in a lot of ways of Tamiya’s classic radio-controlled Toyota 4x4 Pickup (later called the “Bruiser” and then the “Mountaineer”), which was built in the same way; a scale chassis and the body on top. Tamiya’s set used the ladder chassis with proper live axles front and rear and a central transfer gearbox and so on, and as John said, this would be a great challenge to recreate on the Lego model. Shop at Home lists it at about 45 UKP, which is quite a lot after just buying 8455!
