I will say that I think that this is not the first time
that LEGO designers have done this.


Well, it's not the first time they have incorporated reverse-steering in the
back wheel,

steering, (or varying angle steered dual rear wheels)

But it's the first time BOTH features appear in only one vehicle. :-)
