Re: DETAILS: 8011 Jango Fett & 8012 Super Battle Droid

(...) Okay, so I'll just have to go to UK then :) Perhaps I could get put rowing boat into the ocean via some rivers and then row down to England :) Sounds awesome though, not the rowing part, but going to an UK meeting :) /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Parts

(...) I remembered the 1/2 pin today, I usually attach the half beams with a mixture of 3/4 and 1/2 pins. Makes them fit better. /Tobbe (URL) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Parts

(...) Here's the list I made of replies I got when I started a similar discussion last year: 1/2 connector (i.e a lift arm width pin on each side of the central flange) 3L lift arm 3L lift arm with axle hole in the centre 4L lift arm 5L lift arm (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  RE: New Parts

(...) robots when I can't be bothered to put in idler wheels - would be better though if you could get some that were flat (and different sizes) not domed, as you can't make nice large areas by abutting them. (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Parts

Hi, Impressive work! I would like lego to manufacture a motor similar to the 2 supplied with mindstorms, but which utilizes a female conection with the axels apposed to the curent male setup. This is a picture of a conector I wish was in exsistence. (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) I don't know how much Bionicle goes on in Lugnet's B/S/T section, but you should also try the B/S/T section at www.BZcommunity.com (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Orrery gear train

I'm building an orrery and came up with this gear train for the earth and moon. The ratio is 1:27.7777 which is as close as I could come to the actual orbit of the moon, which is 27.32268 days. That's about 1.6% difference, or about 11 hours over (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) And the least they could do is run it through a spell checker (or just learn to spell). ROSCO (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Parts

(...) Of course you could just cut up larger beams. The same goes for a 1x2 studless beam (see my list). I'd certainly like Lego to make these parts, it saves me the time of doing it myself. But in the meantime, I'll be chopping, cutting, grinding, (...) (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Couldn't resist bringing this to your attention(s)

(...) Isn't the attempt to use it as a forum for text rather than LEGO in violation of the spirit, if not the word, of Brickshelf's rules? --Bill. (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.technic)

Re: Couldn't resist bringing this to your attention(s)

(...) I bet whoever put that up is a closet Bionicle fan. I think if we're going to post our opinions somewhere, it ought to be here on Lugnet. (that way we can flame them if we don't like them ;-) TJ "just being silly" Avery (23 years ago, 3-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Parts

I never thought of it..but a friction version of the dark grey pin is an awsome idea. I find when building with straight liftarms, its very hard to create solid connections. The liftarms dont contain studs or axle holes in which to make them (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: DETAILS: 8011 Jango Fett & 8012 Super Battle Droid

(...) We have a bulk vendor in our local group as well. We call him "Uncle Dan". He buys massive amounts of LEGO from all over, but he doesn't play with 'em. He sells speciality parts like Technic separately but regular LEGO gets dumped out on the (...) (23 years ago, 2-Apr-02, to lugnet.technic)
