  More new parts ...

I have recently purchased 4793 - Ogel Shark Sub. In looking through the parts (I didn't buy it to build) I notice a few useful looking new ones - some intriguing cross axle couplers and dayglo orange "wheels". The wheels look ideally suited to be (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Wire question

I'm curious as to how many different lengths there are of this wire ((URL) because peeron has the wires listed in lengths in terms of centimeters and Lego studs. Could someone tell me how many sizes there are, and what size might be best for trains, (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Disappointment on Bohrok

(...) I totally agree Mark. I am a little bit disappointed too! You mentioned the Turaga as supporting characters but even they had more difference than the Bohrok: color, tools, masks and size (all Turaga have a different size). I have all the (...)   Re: Disappointment on Bohrok

Another thing. Am I the only one who thinks that the Bohrok brains looks like the old Transformer's symbols??? (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Disappointment on Bohrok

Picked up #8564, Lehvak the other day. Pretty cool. Picked up #8560, Pahrak today. What the hey? Only thing different is the colors and the hands. I had expected more variation. Now I'm not sure I'll even go after the other Bohroks. I can understand (...) (23 years ago, 26-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Rubber belts modelling

I just uploaded a Rubber Belt Generator utility, that creates DAT files for rubber belts taut between two pulleys. The rubber belt generated can have a square section or a round one, using cylinder primitive. This utility is available from (URL) (...) If your going to build such cool projects, you should order some more wires from Lego Dacta.   Re: Need Instruction Scans - Trike Buggy (set 1257 or 3000)

You have to consider that many of the Technic motorcycle kits have an alternate model that is also a motorcycle/trike, and some non-motorcylce sets also have a motorcycle alternate. Then there are the models found in the ideas book 8888-8891, the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic)

(...) In fact, a Bucyrus Erie 5872-WX cross-pit bucket excavator (the largest at the time) worked in the same pit as the "Captain". (...) It's operating weight was around 15,000 tons. Some other factoids: It was the only shovel to have 2 doors on (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Shrimp Rover

I had the pleasure of seeing this in person. Brian has a keen eye for Mechanical Engineering. The syle in which you build compliments the creations you come up with. The techniques used are top notch. Excellent write up on the features and functions (...) (23 years ago, 23-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

  Shrimp Rover

Hello all, I've nearly completed my shrimp rover implementation. Development is on pause being I’ve completely run out of short Lego wires. I’m not sure if I will ever go any further with this, I’ve got a lot of ideas that I want to build, so I may (...) (23 years ago, 23-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

Re: Need Instruction Scans - Trike Buggy (set 1257 or 3000)

35?? I only know of 18 official LEGO motorcycle models (not counting the minifig motorcycle & trike that's included in TOWN sets). But dont worry, only got about 6 done so far (finding out that I am seriously lacking in Technic parts - guess I have (...) (23 years ago, 23-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Big shovels (was: CAT 797 Mining Truck Pictures.)

(...) Well, I'm not sure about size, but it's definitely the heaviest. "The Captain" was 15,000 tons, dwarfing the shuttle transporter at 2,721 tonnes. Even with the orbiter aboard, it doesn't come close. Also, Paul Baulch did a shuttle transport + (...) (23 years ago, 23-Mar-02, to lugnet.technic)
