Some story-board-ish diversions featuring a somewhat less beefy* Toa-like entity. Perhaps she has a beef with the Bohrok, I dunno: (URL) Smaller feet, shorter arms, no mask† † Speaking of no mask, do the Matorans _wear_ their masks or are they (...)   Re: New element in new Biolicle Va sets?

(...) Yes, that's the set I was talking about, but I was wrong. It's actually set (URL) "Mobile Rocket Transport" that has the black ones. Eight of 'em, to be precise. (...) That's a mistake, because they definitely have 6 grey ones. --Bill. (23 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.space, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: New element in new Biolicle Va sets?

(...) Hmmm. That's interesting. If you're talking (URL) 1981), the brickshelf instructions definitely look like they're grey, not black. Were there 2 versions of the set I wonder? Seems strange LEGO would produce a different colour for just 1 set. (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jan-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.space, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: New element in new Biolicle Va sets?

(...) Thanks. I've been waiting for Lego to make this part. It only seems natural to have a friction peg with an axle end. It will certainly be a useful part and I hope they include it in more new Technic sets. TJ (23 years ago, 30-Jan-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New element in new Biolicle Va sets?

(...) They are definitely friction pegs. They are indeed black. I'd be disappointed to if I had bought a 'sorting toy' instead of a construction toy. The REAL confusion would be if they were light grey. (23 years ago, 30-Jan-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New element in new Biolicle Va sets?

(...) The all-terrain [sic] vehicle (don't have the number handy) used it to mount the wheels. But this was many years before the friction pegs were invented. --Bill. (23 years ago, 30-Jan-02, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New element in new Biolicle Va sets?

(...) I'd be disappointed (in LEGO) if there's both a friction & non-friction version in the same colour. Up till now, such subtle differences were easily "sortable" by colour, this would change that drastically. What space sets have the (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jan-02, to lugnet.technic)

does anyone have any bohrok va instruction scans??

Hey everyone, Does anyone have any bohrok va instruction scans out there?? I was just curious on how they were built.....thanks Rex (23 years ago, 28-Jan-02, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Gear and Axle Strength (was Re: Power Pullin' With My Tractor)

(...) Well, I've been experimenting with macaroni bearings, and had some pretty good results. You can attach 24 & 40 tooth gears directly to the 2x2 rounds - this means the axle only has to take all the load at one small point. I haven't yet tested (...)   Re: New element in new Biolicle Va sets?

(...) I got these in black from my 6950 Mobile Rocket Transport way back in the day. They were black, but weren't friction pegs. Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (23 years ago, 28-Jan-02, to lugnet.technic)
