  Re: New Tower Crane

Oh duh, I forgot to say a few other things. Nice Job! The crane looks good. Keep us informed of your progress in the modifications, I look forward to it. What loads have you tried lifting? To all those saying, "blah, another crane?". I say, "you can (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

  New MOC: Simple Arched Bridge

I've completed a quick MOC, an arched bridge: (URL) was really just for fun. I guess I got a little carried away yesterday- this only took 7 hours to build. I did learn a lot more about building bridges though. I've explained it all on the webpage. (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: New Tower Crane

(...) I haven't found any good string either. I've used simple cotton thread and also nylon rope. Both types have residual "twist" that effects your block, particularly when it's lowered all the way and the string length is long. I suppose you'll (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Is the last prophecy changing?

Here's a theory: Since you(the tohunga have been changing Mata NUi for the better, Mata Nui is being saved and you'll be the here, as opposed to Makuta taking over. (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  New Tower Crane

I have just updated my web site with a new tower crane built a few weeks ago. I would very much appreciate your comments. Something I am interested to know is what type of string you use for your crane winch? I used Carpet Stiching Twine for it's (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8466 4 wheel steering?

(...) Perhaps it can be made narrower with the differential as well? I played around a bit with this on the 8880, and here's some ideas: (URL) would really like to see the specialized parts from 8466 in a service pack too! I doubt that we will see (...)   Re: Is the last prophecy changing?

You're right! It used to be the big, blocky Makuta shape coming at the island from the left. I wonder what this could mean... Funny thing is, the style of the new prophecy drawing doesn't seem to fit in with the rest. Maybe someone has defaced the (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: 8466 4 wheel steering?

(...) it...) (...) Looks like you could attach a pulley (or 2) to the black piece, and run an axle into that. ROSCO (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Turaga moc's

I have seen Toa mocs, and was wondering if any one had done a Turaga moc? (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: 8466 4 wheel steering?

(...) agreed! (...) As they stand, slim chance of a cross-axle going through in the normal way, as the yellow & black parts are pre-assembled (I'll let someone else try separating them first...!!), and there's a bulkhead/lip inside the black piece (...)   Re: 8466 4 wheel steering?

<snip!> Extra information - The parts come as in the shot "closeup1" - i.e. the black and yellow pieces are already assembled together, and it looks as though it might be tricky to get them apart at all without damage. Chris. (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8466 4 wheel steering?

(...) 8880-setup. Very cleverly done. Can I ask a question about the hole in the yellow thing with the four ball joints? Is the diameter of the hole the same as the ordinary technic axles? I.e., can you put a technic axle through it in the usual (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8466 4 wheel steering?

(...) For those who are curious (that'll be most of you who haven't yet got one then!), I have posted photos of the new parts at: (URL) are enough specialised parts included to make it into 4WS, that I'm sure of - you'd just need to add an extra (...)   8466 4 wheel steering?

Hello I just got the 8466 4x4 car and of course had to build it immidiatly. The car has four wheel drive and uses the powerpuller wheels as we all have seen on the pictures. The front wheels aar driven and steered through one part, the rear wheels (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: converting 8880 4 wheel drive to regular hubs

(...) You can upload your own images for all to see on www.brickshelf.com. Use the link "Create a new account" in the lower centre of the page. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures! Fredrik (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: converting 8880 4 wheel drive to regular hubs

(...) No misunderstanding. It does! I have one, and a digital camera, but does anyone have any web/gallery space to spare to display a pic or two that could be linked to from lugnet.technic? I would be happy to email some pictures to anyone that (...) (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: what sets include the #4 angle connector?

(...) Oops! thanks for the correction - I only glanced quickly at my 8448 before, but it's clear on closer inspection. Chris. (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: what sets include the #4 angle connector?

(...) It's not a perfect match. The bent liftarm has an angle of 143.13°, while the angle connector is 135°, as you say. Fredrik (23 years ago, 26-Aug-01, to lugnet.technic)
