Thanks for that complete review, Hao-yang Wang, for everyone who needs an image to figure what details he is talking about, I have a good shot of the Remote that I uploaded a few months back when visiting the GERMAN LEGO Truck that stopped nearby... (...) Roger that! The site is slick and the models are great. The tanker, especially, is really sweet, but all three are very nice. Dennis B. needs to look back, someone's gaining on him! :-) (24 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic model construction time

(...) This is a good question. I'm also curious as to the time it takes other builders to make such MOCs. From my experience on my big crawler crane, I've estimated that it took me 200 to 250 hours straight building time. However, that was spread (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  IR Controller in 8539 Manas

My <set:8539>, back-ordered from Lego S@H, just arrived in mail. I have not finished building the models yet. The set comes with two IR controllers, as well as two receivers. Each IR units take 3 AA batteries, so you need 12 batteries in total. Each (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Technic model construction time

How long does does it take all of you to build a typical Technic custom creation/MOC? (the larger ones in general, such as the type that are usually displayed on Lugnet) For me it is usually between two and four months, working on the model for (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Why didn't you say so before, I have a 110V transformer from a train set from the US. I'm sure I could let you have it for a good price :-) Martin (24 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Control Center Batteries

Thanks for the replies. (...) Actually I would use a transformer as well but I got my copy of the 8485 from Europe and the included 220V transformer is not compatible with the 110V outlets here in the US. The 8094 version does not contain a (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Control Center Batteries

Gaurav, I also tend to use the transformer. I can tell you that the batteries offer less performance than using the transformer alone. It's surprising that they are that hard to remove. I'm not sure what's up with that. Eric (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)
