Re: Bionicow (was: I like Whenua)

(...) Well, it's not Bionicle, but if you fold Jet into his storage mode, unfold the head and feet (not the legs, just the feet), and remove the rotors, you get sort of a "Throwbird"... -Andrusi && (24 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

(...) No they don't! Unless of course they've actually just BEEN to a show, which was good, which may lead them to use the phrase in this context, "That was a good show, Britney Spears can sure belt out a tune'. Otherwise no :-). Steve I can't wait (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.loc.uk)

  Tellurian Orrery MOC

Dear all. Remember this post? (URL) that I replied with a few pictures of Orreries and said that one day I might have a go at one? Well, as I was at home this week to babysit some builders working on my house I had some time and this is the result: (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Loose joints

The 24-tooth gears on the Toa have this neat feature: one side has 4 or 8 little bumps that stick out slightly. If you put the gear on the back of the Toa with the bumps facing the body, they will cause it to stick a bit (like a click hinge), and (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Loose joints

(...) I guess this makes them more like "real" action figures then... how my GI Joe's did you have laying around the house with floppy arms and legs :) Thanks for the reply. (24 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Who cares?

(...) Sorry. It was just getting on my nerves. I didnt want it to go this far. And you didnt need to rub it in with that last paragraph. (24 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Loose joints

(...) Mine never had this "right out of the can" tightness. In fact, in order to get the arms with large weapons to stay in any position other than hanging straight down, I would have to do some tweaking of some of the parts involved with the gear (...)   Re: Bionicow (was: I like Whenua)

(...) Cute. I made my sheep's head go up and down with a gear. I can't decide yet whether to use plain axles on towballs or short throwbot arms (?) for the legs. The sheep's head is an upside down Nuju head (I think). Tentatively named "Biewenicle". (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: New Civil Engineer letter - printed!

(...) That's great! I'm happy to see this happen. The letter made some good points and I think it's very convincing. Thanks for going to the trouble to see this through.   Re: Bionicow (was: I like Whenua)

So, why don't we come up with some other Bionimals: Bionephant, Bioniraffe, Bion, Bioniger, Bionebra, Bionocerus, Bionigator, etc... Bonus points for including some geared mechanism in the little critter. :-) John Hansen (24 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

New Civil Engineer letter - printed!

Dear All To my considerable amazement they printed the letter! I'm at home today so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to scan and upload it.
