  Re: New Civil Engineer letter

(...) Cheers Larry, I've got a nice warm Lugnetty 'included' feeling now! All we have to do now is just sit back and watch New Civil Engineer not publish it! Psi (24 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New Civil Engineer letter

(...) [text snipped] (...) Well, I didn't comment yet in this thread, because I'm not an engineer or a teacher (though I did start in engineering at uni), and I hadn't really thought much about it. I did have one small Meccano set when I was a kid, (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

In lugnet.loc.uk, Simon Bennett writes: <snip> (...) <snip> You rock. Very nicely done. I think I speak for a number of people when I say "thanks for doing this, well done!" ++Lar (24 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: New Civil Engineer letter

(...) I have now sent the letter. I didn't change it that much and it's still very long but I wanted to get it out there before I got cold feet about sending it at all!   Re: Makuta's many forms

(...) The marketing people probably prefer "Fearce evil creatures that can be tamed by removing the infected mask" over "Peaceful island creatures that sometimes turn bad if they get an infected mask".   Re: New Civil Engineer letter

(...) LLC and LLW have some very large scale Technic parts, but I think they're made of fiberglass rather than ABS, and no doubt have steel armatures. (24 years ago, 5-Jul-01, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Civil Engineer letter

(...) True, you do end up with a 4-wide eccentric connection. However, gusset plates can be used instead of trying to line up 4 members on a common pin. This can be accomplished by using extra beams or other members at the joint. You may not end up (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

Meccano vs. Lego (Re: New Civil Engineer letter)

I've looked through two sources of Meccano information: the main website: (URL) a parts list: (URL) opinion now, after being more educated on what Meccano has to offer, is that Lego is probably best, depending on how you intend to use it. If a (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Makuta's many forms

(...) That is a really good thought, Corwin. I think you may have pegged it, myself. Although...I'm still a bit fuzzy on this: The rahi are just the regular old creatures on Mata-Nui, right? It takes an infected mask to make them a servant of (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Makuta's many forms

Hey if you have heard on bionicle.com it says Some people think makuta has many forms. I've looked at the alternete models of the rhai and I think that they are the many forms of Makuta that lead up to the final most devestating Form that has not (...)   Re: Why Manas?

I agree, though I see lego's reason: they want the biggest and most expensive set to seem the most powerful. Also, about needing the many masks, think about it, all you need is Hau and Akaku(sp?). I mean, you stay alert with Akaku and you can see (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jul-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)
