Does anybody own this set? I think it looks interesting and I want to know what it does before I buy it. From what www.lego.com says about it, the only "technic" features it has are the crane arm functions. I am assuming there is more to it than (...) (24 years ago, 29-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

unscrew the spring? I had thouhgt of that, but decided that everyone probably pops the end cap off the piston then goes from there. Unscrewing the spring is probably better for the pump, not so good for the spring, but maybe I should re-consider (...) (24 years ago, 28-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

Unscrew the spring over the plunger knob. It will deform it slightly. It can be reinstalled in the reverse manner. I have removed mine and reinstalled it successfully. -- Bob Fay rfay@we.mediaone.net (URL) Heverly" <theverly@nospam.hotmail.com> (...) (24 years ago, 28-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

I see alot of people remove the spring from the large pump to make a better motorized pump. I'm gonna try that myself, but I'd hate to destroy my only large pump, so I'm asking for experience. Is there anything I should know before I attempt this (...) (24 years ago, 28-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)
