(...) Congrats on getting it off successfully...it took me some work to get one off and I ended up bending the spring slightly. Does anybody own this set? I think it looks interesting and I want to know what it does before I buy it. From what www.lego.com says about it, the only "technic" features it has are the crane arm functions. I am assuming there is more to it than (...) (25 years ago, 29-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

unscrew the spring? I had thouhgt of that, but decided that everyone probably pops the end cap off the piston then goes from there. Unscrewing the spring is probably better for the pump, not so good for the spring, but maybe I should re-consider (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

I see alot of people remove the spring from the large pump to make a better motorized pump. I'm gonna try that myself, but I'd hate to destroy my only large pump, so I'm asking for experience. Is there anything I should know before I attempt this (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

There is a small one on my Lathe at (URL) think the one you are referring to is made with 3 #12 axles with a half bushing attached to the middle of 2 of the axles. The other axle is the drive for the worm. The bushings serve as a nut riding the (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Thanks, Low bandwith demands was one of my thoughts when I created the site. I tried to keep the amount of data needed to download to view a whole page full of thumbnails to 200 kB or less. Hence the many pages of thumbnails on certain (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-01, to lugnet.technic)
