  Ideas for new sets?

There has been a lot of grousinf about the current andrecent Technic line and I share some of those concerns. With more and more character or story driven sets falling under the Technic Rubric (i.e. Bionicle, Roboriders) sets focusing on (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 2001 Model

True, but i like to say Kit 8466 is 4 Wheel Drive, full suspension and V8 engine, also a gear box appears in the photo. Too many panels and not enough beams like the Space shuttle... But anyway, another 4 tyres like the Power Puller's -- Michael - - (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 2001 Model

Thanks for the link to the new kits. They both look interesting, however they still seem to not do much beyond roll across the floor (I smell a theme for this year). I guess I really am a product of the video game generation. I am really spoiled by (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

  2001 Model

I just started following Technic Models to support my Robotics habit and have begun looking through some older catalogs.   Re: Pneumatics?

I would echo the sentiments of others who have replied. Save for the pneumatics pack from Lego Shop at Home, the Tow Truck is the best way to get started. Not only does it give you some great parts, it actually teaches you some very interesting uses (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: In Search of...

(...) My friend Jan Katanek is over in Germany and can get the Bionicle stuff. It wouldn't be that cheap (maybe $2 over MRSP plus shipping), but he can get it for you if you want it. His e-mail address is jan.katanek@gmx.de, and payment is not a (...) (26 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)

Trading 8735- for 8720-style motors, anyone?

I have a number of high speed (8720-style) motors, all in good condition. I am interested in getting my hands on some of the gear-reduced (8735-style) motors. Would anyone be interested in a trade?
