  Re: 8285

(...) Not yet. I'm on the lookout for this set too. Today at Toys R Us at Hurontario/Eglinton (close to you) I saw 8281-8284, the Creator sets, and the two new soccer sets among other things, but still no 8285 (sad). Another nearby TRU doesn't have (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-06, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: motorized tank questions

Steve, Thanks for all the help. (...) I haven't figured out how to motorize the turret yet, if that will need an 8 wide space in the hull, then I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the fore-an-aft-motor-hu...-narrowing setup anyway, so I'll have (...)   Re: motorized tank questions

(...) This approach will work well with tank treads. It wouldn't work well with normal wheels, because you'd have one wheel in front, and the other in back. If appearance is really important, you may notice a difference in how the treads look, given (...) (18 years ago, 6-Jul-06, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: motorized tank questions

Hi, Thanks to everyone for advice and suggestions. (...) Usually the problem is that the treads don't find purchase as much as I'd like, but I was up til 2am last night experimenting, and think I have figured out that by adding weight to the front (...)   Re: Non-RCX Drop Tower

(...) Hi Keith, I like this. I also like the skull sculpture in the background. I am particularly tickled by the use of the pop bottle. Is the connection sound enough there to store pressure in there, or is it only good for the brake? I have been (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jul-06, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Non-RCX Drop Tower

(...) Unreal! While a true battle of material, it's certainly an impressive design. Any RCX design must appear like the easy road in comparison ;-) Understanding the mechanism is a challenge in its own right - very cool. Thanks for posting this, (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jul-06, to lugnet.technic)

  Non-RCX Drop Tower

Hey guys, check this out: (URL) amusement park drop tower ride that doesn't use RCX... And it slows down near the bottom of the fall! Very realistic.
