Re: Lego Technic can be used for ANYTHING!

I put one on Ebay just for the hell of it: (URL) was getting alot of e-mail about it from a PSP messege board. After all it is really neat. -Paul (19 years ago, 1-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic)

Lego Technic can be used for ANYTHING!

I made these speaker stands last year because my Center Channel speaker was too large for the top of my new Sony Television. They are as strong as the day that I made them and wedge perfectly into the top slots on the T.V. There are also stops on (...) (20 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Miniland scale Tiller fire truck

(...) Jacub, This is a great looking model! This takes me back to the days growing up in Southern California; when I would always run to the window to see one of these speeding down the road with its trailing convoy of pumpers. City of Los Angles (...) (20 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

Re: Miniland scale Tiller fire truck

(...) My apologies for replying to my own post. But somehow I messed up the link to Jacub's folder above. Here it is again. I just don't want it getting lost in the shuffle. It's definitely worth taking time to look at: (URL) B (20 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam)

Re: Miniland scale Tiller fire truck

(...) I wouldn't give it a second thought. Your solutions were incredibly imaginative. I saw this today and flipped through the whole Brickshelf folder. It was an absolute delight to see such a great looking model. Just what I needed today. :) (...) (...) (20 years ago, 30-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam, FTX)

  Miniland scale Tiller fire truck

This is a 1/20th scale (miniland scale) 1968 American la France open air “Tiller” aerial fire truck. A couple of the details have been altered since Lego does not always match the real world. www.brickshelf.com/c...i?f=123356 The truck is steered (...)   Re: Large Technic Tracks?

(...) In my experience, there are several criteria regarding good vs. bad traction with these tracks. If you have a creation that needs to use the tracks to operate separately to steer, the friction sideways must also be addressed. There needs to be (...)   Re: Large Technic Tracks?

(...) That's what I found too ((URL) But the traction is much better than with Technic Link Tread ((URL) (20 years ago, 29-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: oldest lego technic piece

I still use Fischertechnik parts occasionally. In terms of there robotics (this will get me shot too...) and pneumatics stuff - they are far in advance of Lego - but for actually gearing and wheels Lego Technic does still come tops for me. Having (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Large Technic Tracks?

Yes - I can confirm these- I have these parts. Annoyingly - they are not in the LDraw parts cat yet. I have been working on a 32090 dat though - as that frame comes in very handy. The tracks also come with a set of spools: (URL) tracks dont work as (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic)

GBC 6 - the obsession continues...

Well, a week ago I finally made it down to a GBC assembly in central Indiana. For those who think the GBC videos are wonderful, I can now state from experience they are nothing compared to actually being there! Steve has already posted some (...)   New MOC: Prototype Class 14 Diesel Loco with BBB Wheels

Here's a new train MOC, a prototype Class 14 diesel loco. (URL) It uses BBB wheels and is articulated to get round the curves. It uses 2 technic gearmotors for power, so it has an electric feed from an adjacent vehicle with a train motor (not yet (...)   Re: oldest lego technic piece

(...) Well, it may have been my work finding it, but the MOC itself is not. As Wayne has said, it is HIS work, my collection of znap would make a bridge about as long as a muon's lifetime... ROSCO (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Airport Fire

Hi there, this is the first post on Lugnet, so I hope things work. I built an 1/15th or so scale 8 x 8 Radio Controled Airport Rescue Fire Fighting truck (ARFF) which some of you may have seen posted on Brickshelf. It is BIG and Very Heavy, but it (...)   Re: oldest lego technic piece

(...) Well said.. ZNAP scales up much easier than traditional LEGO System. The connectors are stronger for larger items (and bruised fingers trying to get them apart sometimes). (...) Nice work Ross ! Ray (20 years ago, 26-Mar-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: oldest lego technic piece

(...) I still have all my old Fischer Technik stuff, and I honestly played with it until about 1998 when Mindstorms came out.
