Re: GBC does nothing for me

(...) I have nothing against GBC, having experimented myself, but I specialise in other stuff. I have an idea that would satisfy most of your requirements: Linear If not entirely random, then complex, with some degrees of movement repeating more (...)   Re: Legos V6's

Nate- The mobile cranes I know that use V6 engines are: 1)Terex-Demag 2)Grove These two both use a Daimler Chrysler OM 906 LA V6 in the crane operator's section, and both use a Daimler Chrylser OM 502 LA V8 for the main drive. If you want to find (...) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Legos V6's

I was only talking about big rigs. Do European tractor trailers actually have V6's? Do their mobile cranes actually have V6's? I just wondered because it seems that TLC uses a V6 in every truck design. The Airtech Rig in 1994 had one. The New crane (...) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic)

  GBC does nothing for me

This whole GBC hasn't really inspired me at all. But thats what's so good about Lugnet, differing opinions are, if anything, encouraged. Theirs nothing wrong with GBC, but I've found the few posts offering alternatives far more intriguing, (...)   Re: Legos' V6's

Another user of an I-6 engine was the early 90's Toyota Landcruiser (a vehicle that could kick Jeep in the rear). (20 years ago, 26-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Legos' V6's

(...) One big user of the I-6 is the Jeep Wrangler. Though there has been much discussion lately if it'll switch to a V-6, though nothing is confirmed. Check (URL) it> out. Modeled after a real live Jeep. Mark (20 years ago, 26-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Legos' V6's

(...) Here in the US I don't think there is an inline 6 in anything other than the full size dodge diesel pick-up and the new chevy trailblazer. Gary (20 years ago, 26-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Legos' V6's

Maybe I'm crazy, but don't most trucks with a 6-cylinder engine have the cylinders inline? Every Lego truck or crane has a V6. Their designs have been like that for over 10 years. Is this just because a "V" fits in well, or do European trucks (...) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Front-wheel-drive wonder

Look at this! This is a good builder. Not only is the front end designed correctly but the roof and windows are very authentic. Look at that engine! (URL) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Yet another GBC submission

I've been working with Steve Hassenplug and others to hammer out the GBC standards, but sadly I've *yet* to make it to an actual GBC event. Well, here's an example of some more modules, so far only tested at home. Warning, this is my first (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

(...) The pneumatic tubes failed on mine here. It looks like they needed to be run through lsynth first. ps, my render of the final model is here: (URL) took 15 minutes in a 2.8Ghz lappy and used ~1.3GB of ram while parsing it :) Its a very (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: LDrawed Mercedes-Benz Actros 4150K in 1:13 scale

Robert- I am having a bit of difficulty setting up the instruction images. I downloaded the MLCAD design, as well as the unofficial parts list, but when I try to convert it to LPUB a dialogue box appears saying "unofficial parts listed does not (...)   Technic figures

Dear Lego, please continue mking Technic figures (I don't see them on shop@home anymore). I'd like it if the original 3-pack (with plain Technic smiley faces, a chair & wrench)were re-released; it would be a great mini-'classic' or Legend set. Even (...)   Technic MOC: DuckPro Automated Duck Assembly

(First of all, I hope I've set this to the proper newsgroups. I've never "announced" a project I've worked on before. So apologies in advance if I've posted to the wrong area!) I've had this idea for a few years. But I finally got around to building (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.announce, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, FTX) !!

Re: Studless 8448 Super Street Sensation

(...) Even though I don't own 8448 proper, I would contemplate it. I built a sorta 8448, now with studded chassis and studless body. I also eliminated the two remaining studded beams from the 8448 wing doors body. (I will put pics up, I swear! For (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  94" Arch suspension bridge

I have been working on this bridge for a few months now. it is based on T.J.'s design on his web sight. Thanks for sharing your secrets T.J.!   Studless 8448 Super Street Sensation

I am thinking of doing a completely studless version of the 8448 set keeping it the same size. Should I bother or just move onto something else? My next Custom car is definitly going to be yellow, and I going to spend the 80 bucks to get the wheels (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.technic)
