OK I did this quite a while ago as a proof of concept, but never got around to posting it. (...) I experimented with using paper fasteners as pickups with the 12V railway a few years ago. I wrapped each one round a toggle joint and rested it on the conductor rails. (...) Not really. But if you look closely, you'll see that anything that's animated has the word "clock" in its code.
