Re: FYI- Moving on -&- Mr. Krinkle in the Raw

(...) I received this post via email as I'm a subsciber to technic, but I deleted it straight away as the subject line looks just like Spam. It wasn't till I checked the Lugnet web interface (by chance) that I realised it was a legit message. Has (...) (20 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.people, lugnet.technic, FTX)

FYI- Moving on -&- Mr. Krinkle in the Raw

I'm moving on and expanding my horizons. I have now, and for some time, encountered trouble making ends meet. So I am moving on and I no longer work at LEGO Brand Retail. I am pursuing other opportunities. I hope to share them with you when I learn (...) (21 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.people, lugnet.technic, FTX)

savatheaggie@yahoo.com (Anthony Sava) wrote in <HvEr6z.1tEo@lugnet.com>: (...) Do you want the lights to be inside the rotating part? That will complicate things: you'd have to put a battery box in the rotating part as well. (21 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  Re: Question from a beginner

(...) An AC source isn't portable though! Anthony, you mentioned a substantial length of wire. Is the model static or moving? If it's static then a Train controller, RCX with AC socket or Control Center could do the job. The train controller can (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  Re: Question from a beginner

(...) Hey, You are right, having more lights will slow the motor and dim the lights. But if you think about it, he want's to make fireplaces and I think dim lights (if not too dim) would work fine. Yeh, an AC source is almost always a must in this (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  Re: Question from a beginner

(...) Anthony, Nice, clear question. You won't hurt your electric parts by running too little voltage through them. As you add lights, existing lights will get dimmer, the motor will run slower, and the batteries will not last as long. You MAY hurt (...)   Business trip to Silicon Valley

Hi, I'll be in the SF Bay area through Monday, and was wondering if anyone wanted to get together and talk LEGO? I won't be taking my usual traveling LEGO for this trip, but meeting other AFOL's in the area would be great. Drop me an email if you (...)   Re: Question from a beginner

(...) Welcome to the wonderful world of Technic! (...) Anthony, I don't know how many you can put on the box, but I would guess that three lights hooked in parallel (the easy way to hook itup), should be fine on one battery box. Kevin (21 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  Question from a beginner

I have a question to all you technic gurus out there. I've looked around Lugnet for a good half hour or so without any luck, but maybe I'm not looking in the right places. In any case, I decided to just come out and ask the question, after all I'm a (...) (21 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

(...) You are welcome. I document in hopes that others will enjoy and learn from MOC's. I think you are right about Asynchropillar and Inchworm, although Asynchropillar is not documented well enough to tell easily. Let me know if you conclude they (...)   Re: Hex363

(...) Thanks Bob. To my knowlege, you have recreated more of MOC's than anyone else. I see your work on brickshelf. (...)   Re: Hex363

hi kevin, i must first say that this is just amazing work! is that 12 new switches on each leg? that's going to take a lot of bricklink orders to get enough switches. i'm was wondering where to find p_swtch.dat, p_lcyl.dat, and p_larm.dat. i can't (...)   Re: Hex363

(...) I have created a web page for hex363, pretty scant, but it communicates what is needed. Included in the page is a link to hex363.mpd.
