  Re: Studless Technic models

(...) It's obvious to me he means that. (...) Your more wrong Allen, than Lego was to change the shade of gray. There are few enough really good models posted here already without another level of complication slowing us down. We depend on the (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Studless Technic models

(...) I'm curious about your question. When you ask about Technic bricks being replaced by the studless beams, do you mean that you don't think there are any studded bricks out there at all? If so, perhaps you should try some of the Designer sets or (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Part colors?

(...) Me too. I got mine the other day. (...) Nope, can't understand that either. This is a very odd phenomenon, and one only seen in one other set (AFAIK), the Dark Side Developer Kit (...) The reason for the colour of those parts (Technic axle pin (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Studless Technic models

Hi, last of my today's spam flood ;-) As I've built Backhoe yesterday, I still don't get that Lego move. Why did they replace _ALL_ technic bricks with studless beams? I think that the beams have 'right to live', for styling the outer parts they're (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Purpose of part 32072

Hi, anybody understands real purpose of part 32072: (URL) built backhoe yesterday and I still don't get it, why they haven't used something more traditional there? It would have been 'slower'? Is something like that used in the real world? (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Part colors?

Hi, I got my 8455 Backhoe out of the box yesterday. What puzzled me were strange colors of some parts. In older Technic sets, some colors were tied to parts, for example 32002 (technic pin 3/4) was always DkGray. Now it seems that all odd lengths (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.technic)

New MOC: 1:18 scale BMW M5 Sedan

Ever since winning a pen at Brickswest two years ago, I've wanted to use the round segments in a MOC. Last semester, I finally got around to Brasso-ing off the letters. I also found a bunch of pictures of BMWs, the perfect car for a bunch of round (...)   Re: What is the difference between... ?

(...) Hi Mark, I would agree with Jürgen. It seems to be a reasonable definition and a good way to further distinguish between to very similar classes of parts that may have uses that are unique to their own classes. I also found this ooold post (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.technic)

Re: HELLO?!, LEGO CO. ! was: Will the educational arm of Technic & Mindstorms continue?

(...) Dear All, Recently I have received the following answer from LEGO: "Dear Mr. Schlei, We have no plans of discontinuing the production and sales of LEGO Mindstorms and LEGO Technic products. On the contrary, we consider these products core (...) (21 years ago, 14-Jan-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)
