I recently won a Technic 8854 Power Crane set off ebay and recieved it today. The original polybags were almost all still sealed, but the box was in very poor condition and one of the polybags was opened, so the parts had spilled out of it; a few of (...) hi maybe it was talked here but maybe not what do you think about making modular bot one module has one rcx one module can bend itself in the middle (in one plane) rcx ins are: 1. light sensor 2. angle sensor 3. touch sensor outs are: 1. main motor (...) I used three sets of treaded chain links and 1x10 plates to make the tracks for a couple models. None of the plates ever came completely loose, but some of them would come loose from one of the three treads. Virtually all of the treaded chain links (...) Really my target is building a big "work zone" technic figure scale with 3-4 interactive models (...) My latest MOC (still to be published) uses 1 x 6 plates on this type of treads and I made the MOC remote controlled and had to pick up a lot of plates when I was done driving. Should have posted this hear Peter, (...) Alas, unfortunately I consider myself to be somewhat of a Lego purist, I look for almost pure Lego solution where I don't have to 'modify' bricks.
