(...) Tes, but the 8880 is hardly available right now. If you use the setup from 8880, you're stuck with using one kind of wheels exclusively. The suspension arms also take up more space than with the 8466 solution. Fredrik (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

This one ranks as my all-time favorite technic set. Everything is just about perfect here; functionality, piece selection (both specialized and generic), looks, originality (for its time), alternate model, etc. You don't see that everywhere. ;) As (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

This is probably old hat to everyone who has played with 8868, but I'll ramble on anyway... I had never seen set #8868 before until the recent Technic set poll placed it among other favorites of mine such as 8480 and 8880. The cover picture looked a (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)

I received 8431 today and have done a brief comparisson between its instructions and those from 8460. Overall I think the sets are nearly identical, except for some part substitutions that Lego made due to the fact that some of the 8460 parts aren't (...) (22 years ago, 2-Oct-02, to lugnet.technic)
