  Re: Making 7u axles

It seems they are molded: if you look closely, there is a very thin line along the axle where halves of the mold join. The injection point is at one end. I suspect (but I'm not sure) that actually the mold has 4 parts, two for the axle itself, two (...) (22 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Making 7u axles

Speaking of the axles does anyone have any idea if LEGO make them with an extrusion mold or if they actually injection-mold each axle out of individual injection molds? If there's one part that's practically designed for extrusion molding techniques (...) (22 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

Help needed for hopper feed assembly.

I need something which will dislodge the 2x3 and 2x4 bricks from the treads found in Technic set 8257 - I need a means to pop them off without the use of excessive or damaging force. The primary use of this hopper is so that I can rapidly and easily (...) (22 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Demag AC650 Pictures

I have found some while surfing the net, but most are from far away and do not offer much in the way of help building an accurate model. I have made several attempts to contact (...) In lugnet.technic, John Barnes writes: (Why do they make it so hard to keep in touch with F1 (...) We get evey race free over here. I still don't watch it though, it's so boring, Schumacher wins everything and Hakkinen's taken a year off. I lost (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8461 arrives

I'd estimate 95% of sets I buy are for their parts content. I build the other 5% as an educational experience - it's important to find out what the Lego designers intend some of the newer parts to be used for - and I think I keep 1% intact. (Warning (...) (...) Thanks. (...) The truck part is 101.5cm long approx, 14.3 cm wide and 11cm high. The jib is 124cm high but if I combined both jibs into one I could go as high as 194cm maybe over 2 metres. The crane needs a space 1m x 1.2m to operate. I saved (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)
