I went to a similar problem and I found a solution at Office Depot. It's a plastic cabinet monted on caster 30" high x 15" depht x 12" large. It contain 6 drawers 4" high. Cost about $25. Into each drawers, I used small boxes (from 4 to 40) to store (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jun-00, to lugnet.storage)

(...) This comment, and similar ones from others, brings a question to mind... How many people store their minifigs assembled, and how many break them down into parts for storage? Me, I break my minifigs down and separately store torsos/arms/hands, (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jun-00, to lugnet.storage)

Shiri, Here's a few pics of my building area: (URL) use Plano tackle boxes for storing my specialty parts. Technic stuff goes in ZAG containers (the blue and red ones on the table). I also have my mini-figs in one drawer of the larger ZAG (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jun-00, to lugnet.storage)

I agree with Eric. I use a fishing tackle box for my minifigs, a thing with divided drawers that was originally intended to hold stuff like screws and bolts, and a another thing similar to that except it is @ 9W x 15L x 2H has movable compartment (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jun-00, to lugnet.storage)
