  Re: Storing the goodies.

(...) I just this summer organized all my paper. I used large size comic book protectors and cardboard baskings. Works great for everything execpt the european A4 stuff and much less expensive than page protectors. (26 years ago, 1-Oct-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Sorting/Storing Catalogs

Hi: (...) That was me who requested them! It is interesting to note that Legohas used both US 8.5 x 11" and European A4 paper sizes for some of their instruction books. Jim hughesj@one.net (26 years ago, 1-Oct-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Sorting/Storing Catalogs

I once had a request for knowing the codes for metric(European) paper sizes. If you want those, I will be happy to post them here. A4 would be much easier than 210mmW x 297mmL anyday!!!!   Re: Storing the goodies.

(...) You have over 20 years of LEGO Catalogs?!!!! :) You've gotta realize. I just turned 25. 22 is exciting enough for me! Sarah (26 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Storing the goodies.

I use a combination of methods for storage. For standard bricks I use the Lego bins from 3026 sets, each holding a single size. Within them I have the bricks sorted by color and stored in Gladlock plastic bags. I then have several large Rubbermaid (...) (26 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Storing the goodies.

I use a variety of storage solutions to meet the many needs I have. First, I have plastic boxes about the size of shoebox containers for bulk pieces (e.g., Technic beams). Second, I have recently found a line of wonderful organizers at Home Depot (...) (26 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.storage)

(...) Whoops! :) No... I mean 36, MINUS some extras. That is, I have 36, and some of them will be extras because I only have 22 or so years of catalogs. --Todd (26 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Storing the goodies.

(...) Gee, I feel so inadequate now... all I use are the the 3026 containers for storage... I've got essentially three full containers for each of the five primary colors... Scott (26 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Storing the goodies.

For Lego elemnts, I use the blue/red storage bins from sets 545, 56, etc. These are great 6/9 compartment bins that use a 16x32 baseplate as the lid. For catalogues and Mania Magazines I use ring binders with sheet protectors. (26 years ago, 28-Sep-98, to lugnet.storage)

  Sorting/Storing Catalogs

I have started to store and sort through my Lego paper collection (instructions, catalogs, magazines, etc.). For catalogs, I have put each in a sheet protector and labelled it something like this: 1979 7 1/4"x7 3/8" 103517 103617 US I put in metric (...) (26 years ago, 28-Sep-98, to lugnet.storage)

  boxes and boxes

I have had good luck with plastic boxes, the shoebox size and the next up. An adjustable shelf can hold a lot of these and elements can be sorted by about any combination includning theme, model, shape or color. Special small elements go in flip lid (...)   my storage methods.....

is this the 1st post to this group???? My one and only claim to lego famedom!! -- Anyway, due to a lack of realistic storage options, I tend to build bricks of a single type and colour into large, tall, towers.
