The closest thing I can think of is S. Fujita's totally incredible LEGO
version of the original SW trilogy (Ep. IV-VI). He spent 155 weeks (!)
producing models and photographing them. It's still images rather than
a movie, but still very very very enjoyable. The site was CLSotW #169
earlier this year...
