    Collectible Minifigs —Steve Chapple
The catalog says "at least one that's not available in any other LEGO set!" Am I missing something here? Aren't they all in sets or in the case of Palpatine and Jedi Luke, couldn't they be made by combining minifig parts? SRC (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Collectible Minifigs —Richard Marchetti
(...) Yeah, ya are. Palpatine is comprised of a unique torso and minihead (the head for sure). At least that's my understanding of it, not having one before me yet. -- Richard (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

         Re: Collectible Minifigs —Eric Joslin
(...) You are completely right. Jedi Luke is different- my understanding is that the hands are different from Skiff Luke, and that is the only difference. Unless he also comes with a cape and hood- does he? But both of those things (hands and (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

         Re: Collectible Minifigs —Bryan Hodges
(...) Actually, Palpatine's torso is the same as the one that came with Darth Maul... the head is unique though, but it won't be if the set list w/ minifigs is correct... Heh, the Palpatine is identical to the one I made months ago... 'cept mine has (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

         Re: Collectible Minifigs —Chris Maddison
(...) Nope, the Palpatine torso is different. Darth Maul has a large sash-style belt; Palpatine has a small rope-style one. Look at em side by side, and it's obvious. -Chris (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

         Re: Collectible Minifigs —Andrew Khym
Well that makes em all unique. OOM-9's head and torso isn't availbable anywhere except on the set he comes from, unless you find a paint color exactly like his markings and carefully apply it to a standard battle droid. I'm not so sure about (...) (24 years ago, 26-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Collectible Minifigs —Travis Quigley
(...) I've found this to be a little confusing as well. The only figures in the Star Wars mf sets that are unique, to me, is Palpatine and battle droid commander. What's so unique about Chewbacca? His accessory best I can tell. That doesn't really (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Collectible Minifigs —Andrew Tyrone
(...) Actually in the catalog it notes that all the minifig sets *except* for the one with Chewbacca are unique. The one with Luke, Fett, and Solo: Han Solo's pants are unique (they're blue in the MF). -- Andrew, Agent 0007 (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Collectible Minifigs —Travis Quigley
(they're blue in the MF). (...) Ha! I had just noticed Han's pants color last night and had forgotten all about it. Great catch! When I received my fig packs all the packaging stated "Contains Unique Minifigure" or something to that effect. there's (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Collectible Minifigs —Bryan Hodges
(...) The only thing thats "unique" in that set is the bowcaster that comes with Chewie... and it's only "unique" in the respect that it comes packaged with Chewie, the black crossbows have been around for quite a while. The MF Chewie doesn't have a (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Collectible Minifigs —Travis Quigley
(...) So is Lego fasley advertising/promoting the set since the Chewbacca figure isn't truly "unique"? Travis (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Collectible Minifigs —Anthony Sava
(...) Chewie (...) Actually if you look carefully, they'll be a star at the bottom of all the advertisements. It'll say that all BUT the chewie set has unique figures. So there you go. --Anthony (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

        Re: Collectible Minifigs —Steve Chapple
(...) I expect they would use the "crossbow defense", as there is no notes of any kind on my insert, other than the usual TM stuff. I have the wimpy 1/2 size Canadian Summer 2000 catalog. I called S@H to specifically ask for the full-size catalog, (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.lego.direct)

The box still says Unique Figure. (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)
