Why we won't see the Emperor...

Ok.  I can almost guarantee we won't see a set in 2001 with Emperor Palpatine
in it.

As I was getting ready for work this morning, I happened to be looking at the
box for the "darth" minifig pack.  On the top of the card (the bit that would
let it hang on a wall peg) it says:

"Contains unique minifig"

If they were intending to introduce Palpatine in a set (relatively) soon, I
doubt they'd put that on there.

Just my thought.

(...) Interesting. (...) 2.5 words: Wanna bet? TLC has been notoriously lax about things like this -- they release "limited edition" sets, then change the packaging, and make them into regular sets. Many of the S@H sets are flogged as "hard to (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

I disagree, the Darth Maul or Vader are not unique to that set. Does it refer to the Emperor as the unique minifig? Adam (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)
