Well, Ben fought in the Clone Wars, and he's a young man in Episode I, so

Some SW books (galaxy guides and such) state that some people think
stormtroopers are clones, or at least heavily brainwashed troopers. They're
supposed to be the shock troops for the empire--the best, in other words.
How they account for the "stormtrooper effect" (i.e. the more people
shooting, and the more obvious the target, the less likely you are to hit
it) I don't know.
