Well, most of you have seen Qui-Gon (Liam Neeson's character) on the
different Star Wars Prequel Web sites and in various magazines.  My
question is this, while it's hard enough to imagine how LEGO will create
minifig versions of classic characters like Chewbacca, how the heck will
they do Qui-Gon's hair?  Could we see the first LEGO minifig with long
hair??  I'm being a little tongue-in-cheek here, but it does make you
wonder.

And for that matter, what about Jar-Jar?  I'd assume he'd have a
presculpted head or something.

I'm not sure... TLG has done printed heads for oddball things before, like
robots and the UFO guys, but they might change this.  I'm not actually sure
which I'd prefer...preprinted wouldn't do it justice, but molded might promote
Town Jr-ism.  :-/

Finally, I wonder if we might see characters like Han and Leia in some kind
of S@H-exclusive set later this year???  I hope so!!

I doubt it.  My guess is that for at least the first year or two of the SW
contract they will only be found in bigger sets, to force people into getting
big sets, even if they just want the figures for a collectors item.  Otherwise,
why no Leia in the speeder bike sets?

I would guess that Han (and Chewbacca?) will only show up with a Millenium
Falcon set, while Leia... hard to say.  maybe a Death Star prison set?

Which leads me to a curiousity... will the main characters continue to have
distinctive heads, enabling the Luke and Han as storm troopers to be a simple
head swap?

(...) Long hair with a ponytail has been around quite awhile in black and red. I have both kinds myself. It remains to be seen whether the new color will be brown or blonde. I think Liam Neeson's hair is definitely more brown. (...) promote (...) I (...) (26 years ago, 31-Jan-99, to lugnet.starwars)
