Wow.

I have to say that I am much more impressed than I thought I would be.
And not just with SW, but across the board ... but, since this is SW,
I'll give my thoughts on that line here :)

I absolutely *love* the AAT.  Amazingly (and I haven't done precise
calculations on this, so I'm not completely sure), it looks to be right
on the money in terms of scale.  And the detailing is perfect!  I didn't
have any thoughts/hopes for this model, but after seeing the finished
product I'll be getting at least one or two.

The MTT looks great too.  I'm not convinced about the scale of it yet,
but in terms of its overall appearance it looks great.  The gray slopes
are a fantastic boon ... I'll be getting at least one of these, if only
for parts.

Heeyyy, maybe prior to Ep IV the Empire gives the Trade Federation a
real whalloping.  That would make for a nice scene; Trade Federation
AAT, Battle Droid, STAPs, MTTs, etc trying to hold their own against
some AT-ATs, AT-STs, Speeder Bikes ... it's like a generation battle.
Might make for a nice diorama ...

I'm liking the Slave I more and more ... if nothing else, it's a great
starting place for the "real" thing :)  The Boba Fett looks great, too
... I can't wait to deck him out with some custom weaponry.  The Technic
Droideka looks beautiful, and will have a place oif honor somewhere in
the vicinity of the 8880 in the living room (see, I *do* build things
other than SW stuff!).  The desert skiff and flash speeder are nice,
too, if only for the brown, green, and cheap Han they provide.

Speaking of Han, somebody else mentioned it already, but the Blue Artic
dude really is perfect for a little crossover.  I mean, it is *exactly*
Han's outfit on Hoth.   Just add the appropriate head, and voila!  Hmmm,
my AT-AT is getting spread pretty thin here already.

I don't really have any *compleints*, per say.  The MF is okay, all
things considered (price, size, etc), but I'm not convinced I'll get
one.  After being spoiled by images of Ben's, anything less seems
blasphemous at times ;)  Well, I'll wait and see on it - does anybody
know if you can open it up, and if so, what the inside is like?  Are
there rooms?  Maybe I'll get it just for the vested Han.  *That* is an
expensive fig.

The A-Wing is nice, if only because it is small and has the correct
pilot.  As for the actual ship design, I love John VanZ II's *much*
better.  The B-Wing is okay, too, but in light of some of the others
I've seen built by AFOLs and JrFOLs, it's not "rocking my chair", or
whatever the saying is.

And of course there is the Model series ... has anyone else looked at
the side of the fuselage on it yet?  It looks like it must be made of
hundreds upon hundres of small pieces, in order to get that
textured/beaten look.

Well, after seeing these, and the new helmets in castle, and the artic
accessories, and everything else, I have tentatively committed to
singlehandly upholding the economic growth of the country.

Wow.

Agreed.  At least in terms of what I can glean from the catalog scans, my faith
in Lego is being renewed (provided that there are not as many BURPS in the new
sets; however, I fear that there are in the Arctic line.)  I don't expect to
purchase the Falcon; good parts, I'm sure, but it just isn't enough.  But
regarding Arctic, if I can just figure out how to make Taun-Taun's, I'll be all
over that blue suit.  Anyway, I wonder if I can convince the bank for a Lego
loan?  Nah.
