I learned that this was available (some places) in the UK for approx £20
as well.

I find this price a tad expensive.  I mean, the 8001 doesn't really seem
to have that many parts.  Perhaps twice as many parts as a Slizer?  Or
perhaps I'm misjudging the size of the droid.

It is 350mm high and has a surprisingly high number of parts. I have not
counted, but I would estimate something in the order of 150-200.

As I have said elsewhere it also very well engineered. The folding mechanism
and the way it draws its gun from its back-pack are very ingenious.
