LEGO Star Wars Sets are Record Setting! —Eric Lind
According to an article at (URL) , the Ep1 sets have set a LEGO record for most sets sold for a theme launch in a one month period. Combined with the Ep4-6 sets, LEGO SW sets have sold over a million in 3 months. Pretty darn cool. Also, I think the (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

D'oh! That's not in response to Eric's post, but to TLG. Of course these sets are selling well: 1. They have great designs. 2. They are tied to a blockbuster movie - everytime TPM is advertised on TV, print, radio - all SW toys are basically (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Actually, I think Winnie the Pooh will be a big hit in the Duplo Market. My wife is certainly looking forward to the Pooh LEGO. (25 years ago, 18-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: LEGO Star Wars Sets are Record Setting! —David Blomberg
I was a little bit grumpy when I posted. Winnie the Pooh will probably be great for the Duplo market. It may even double the sale of Duplo... because I doubt that Duplo sets have stellar sales levels. And it follows my previous points 2&4: everytime (...)    (...) Well, I for one hope they figure out that part of the success of these sets is how well-designed they are. Almost no other liscence is going to generate the kind of sales Star Wars is... and I really do hope they *don't* start liscencing out (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: LEGO Star Wars Sets are Record Setting! —Christopher Masi
I agree. I hope LEGO doesn't start creating movie themed LEGO. I am very happy with my Star Wars LEGO, but creating movie themed LEGO is not really in the spirit of LEGO. Instead of chasing down cultural icons to copy I hope LEGO will put the same (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

        Babylon 5 Lego —Peter Fuesz
(...) Speaking of Babylon 5, has anyone else tried to make a Starfury out of Lego? I'm in the process now, but damn it's hard! I also made a Londo and G'Kar mini-fig. I'll try to post them, altho I might make some purists mad because I actually cut (...) (25 years ago, 21-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)
