Re: Titanic, was Lego Mania Magazine

Mark and Ed, I'd have to disagree about Titanic. Granted we saw it on video and not at the theater, but I was not that impressed by the movie (although the visual effects were very impressive) and neither was my wife. I thought there were many (...) (25 years ago, 28-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) You forget the slutty couple managing to somehow find the back seat of a car on the Titanic. Whatever? Timbo (25 years ago, 28-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) This could seem to be lame, but remember that it was based on a true story. And thinking about those rich bast**ds bring even their picasso paintings with them through the trip, it looks very normal to me. (bringing their cars with them) (...) (25 years ago, 31-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Actually, I think it broke most country's records. I know for a fact it came in first in Japan, beating out Mononoke Himi. Which reminds me, Mononoke Himi is coming to the US on the big screen, so we should all do our best to make it come in (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Titanic, was Lego Mania Magazine

Class envy?..No, I'm not intended to do this. I only used the word "bas***d" as an adjective to describe the rich people (that particularly featured in the movie), and this doesn't mean that I don't want to be rich bas***d neither I would be (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Titanic, was Lego Mania Magazine

My apologies, a political button went off! As for Titanic, the whole movie revolved around class envy, and I think the world has improved much since then. The main "bad guy" (I forgot his name) was so cast and stereotypical that it put the movie (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Awright boys, time to take this over to .off-topic.fun or .off-topic.debate. Titanic is already off-topic enough for this ng, so that makes this doubly off-topic. :) --Todd (25 years ago, 9-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Class Envy, I think not. Tyco parts, I'll take them. (for a NON Lego project, trust me) But clearly many of us have frank honest admiration for those who have more parts than us, who can sling words in a clever manner, or who amaze with (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Larry, What kind are you looking for? I have a limited supply of yellow, gray, black, and green Tyco parts, assimilated from various collections. As for class envy, and the like, I think you and I are running about 98.98% agreement on everything (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jul-99, to lugnet.starwars)
