Bill Katz posted to RTL the results of a study he did back in February
of 1998.  His average was roughly 350 PIECES/LB.  I don't believe he
separated bricks and plates.  Of course, he can speak for himself.

Weighed my Millennium Falcon last night and It's up to 15 pounds. Refining the lower surface demanded plenty of plates so the wieght creeped up a little bit. Simply flipping it over is a bit of a chore now. But all the details are coming together. (...) (25 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)
