Re: Just got back from TRU . . .

(...) I may be mistaken but I believe that this is actually Minifig scale. It is a robot and does not have a crew and therefore I believe it is Minifig scale. Someone please reply if I am wrong. Eric (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Just got back from TRU . . .

(...) I'll reply anyhow--you're 100% right; look at the "non-Lego" droid fighters in relation to the rest of the 3.75"-scale action vehicles and the scale is the same. They come in threes from Kenner, they're so small, with a little "frame" (...) (26 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Just got back from TRU . . .

(...) Look in the second trailer, right after (well, durring, sort of) the first Darth Maul shot. There's a short reaction shot with several battle droids and some large, four-legged machines.   Re: Just got back from TRU . . .

(...) You're all right. The Droid Fighter is minifig scale. I watched the above-mentioned video clip a bit more. There's another brief shot off the Droid Fighter in action, near the end of the trailer. Interesting to compare the scenes from the (...) (26 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Walking Fighter Droid (was: Just got back from TRU . . .)

(...) I'm thinking to use some of the corner-hinged plates (see (URL) and (URL) for examples) to connect the legs to the main body. If this is set up right, the front legs will be shorter from the hinge to the foot-point than the back legs, so the (...) (26 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Walking Fighter Droid (was: Just got back from TRU . . .)

Probably because that's the closest they could get to the color they were in the movie. Looking at the trailers, many of the larger and/or battle droids appear to be a "rusty brown" color. The STABs are brown also and they were a similar color to (...) (26 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)
